Peer Review Process
Publication of articles in the Jurnal Teknik Kimia is dependent solely on scientific validity and coherence as judged by our editors and/or peer reviewers, who will also assess whether the writing is comprehensible and whether the work represents a useful contribution to the field. Jurnal Teknik Kimia acknowledged the effort and suggestions made by its reviewers.
Initial Manuscript Evaluation
The Editor-in-Chief will first evaluate all submitted manuscripts within a maximum of two weeks. Manuscripts rejected at this stage are considered to lack originality, have serious scientific flaws, or fall outside the aims and scope of the Jurnal Teknik Kimia. Manuscripts that meet the minimum criteria will be forwarded to the section editor. Manuscripts accepted by the section editor will be forwarded to expert reviewers for review. This process typically takes up to six weeks. The average time between article submission and publication is 12 weeks.
Type of peer review
Submitted manuscripts will generally be reviewed by two experts who will be asked to evaluate whether the manuscript is scientifically sound and coherent, whether it duplicates the already published works, and whether or not the manuscript is sufficiently clear for publication. The method is double blind peer review or double anonymous peer review.
